good Honda mechanics
My CBR929 finally has to go in for work that I don't do...a valve adjustment. Where's a good place in central NJ? Good experiences, bad experiences?

not wanting to go far i went to the dealer on rt 33. coopers
everthing was in spec. only thing that sucked was the price! |
Freehold Honda is a pretty honest shop. So is Monmouth Cycles.

+1 on Freehold Honda. It's practically my second home since I live 10 mins from it.

They don't really have any bad mechanics there. Except, of course, for the guy who chipped the tank on my 600RR a while back and tried to hide it. When I told them about it, he was fired on the spot.

I had a bad experience at Freehold Honda with a guy on the phone quoting me a price and then charging me double when I got there, but the service manager took care of it so overall things worked out. Id still say its a good place to go to.

I only trust one Honda mechanic........

They rebuild motors too so a simple valve adjustment is no big thing...just be sure to tell Ron (shop owner) you're a member of this site and this site referred you. |

Haha, well, it doesn't have to be a Honda dealer, just a place that is competent to do Hondas as well. Anyone used Rizzon's lately? They're really close to me. Haven't been there in ages. I'd use Freehold, but they're at least an hour from me. More with traffic.
Yeah, Bob, I only trust myself, too. :) I do most stuff, this the the first time it needs to go in since I bought it in '01, hence the agonizing! I don't do valves. :roflmao: |
