How NOT to get your bike to the track...

This dumbass gave me some reasons why his trailer and other vehicles couldn't get him there so he did this......

You might just take it all as a sign....DON'T RIDE THAT DAY! Thankfully some people trailerd his bike home for him.

Not photoshop buddy....this guy was for real, and was at Pocono this past weekend.

RAC 08-28-2006 12:34 PM

I do graphics for a living and that is no photoshop job.

Tonupboy 08-28-2006 12:38 PM

Marker54 08-28-2006 12:38 PM

I love the grey shirt tied to the seat so that other vehicles see he had something hanging out of his vehicle. Why are people so stupid??

High_Revs_17 08-28-2006 12:39 PM

That being the case, I guess the plates on the car explains it all.

shamster 08-28-2006 12:47 PM

Oh, I sorta remember that bike, only cause I recall seeing someone with a missing rear cowl. Was the rider a pretty big guy in a grey suit? The guy is an a-hole for real though, aside from being foolish?

Mack 08-28-2006 12:48 PM

me and chris pulled in and it was sitting there I was like who the fuck is dumb enough to try that.

Kennedy 08-28-2006 12:49 PM

The state of PA is like the wild west compared to NJ, you should see some of the scary crap that comes rolling across the border on a daily basis. :moocow:

I thought it would look bad with me trying to hook a trailer up to my Dodge Caliber. This guy takes the cake for jackass move of the year!

CBRBob 08-28-2006 04:08 PM

Yea, many of you know that look..........

RCM78 08-28-2006 04:24 PM

Yeah, 80 miles up the turnpike from Philly. How he didn't get pulled over I'll never know.

It reminded me of this.

Marker54 08-28-2006 05:41 PM

Looking at this again...there is no way he did this by himself...so there is actually other people out there that must have been like,
"Yeah, i'll help you get your bike in the car"

AfricanBootyScratcher 08-28-2006 06:31 PM

good for him!
at least he's out there, not like many other "oh I'll get to the track some day" people

AMEN BROTHA!!!
thats probably the best responce in this thread. he wanted to do a track day and he had no other way to get there so he got creative to get there, his funds were probably low to rent something from U-HAUL or any other center alike. no one knows this persons story.

unfortunately i wouldnt have done it, but it is creative.

thats the 1st thing i seen as soon as i pulled through the gate and i just sat there and was like heres a smart man on how to save money

one of the coaches was shacking the shit out of the bike and it didnt budge a inch so he had it strapped in there real good.

We know that he was bitchin and complaining during lunch that his $1000 dollar paint job was f'ed up because some guy at Beaver lost his drain plug causing him to fall down.

He went on to say that no one should be allowed to do an oil change on their bike the night before a track event and that everyone should be required to be safety wired so that this never happens to him again.

What a prince.

I said in the 1st post he told me his story and it was all lame. Sometimes you just have to NOT GO if you are going to do some lame ass shit like he did. Creative, sure, fracking stupid as all hell, yea! I believe this guy wants to be Omar's best friend.

IrocRob 08-28-2006 07:58 PM

All you really need for a track day:

You, your wallet, your gear, your bike, and a roll of tape.

Why didn't he just ride it to Pocono?

And another thing, who rides to jersey to meet up with you guys all the time....And who rides all year round when a lot of the jersey riders put their bikes away for the winter. And the winter for them is october and they dont come out til may:vent: :vent: :vent:

GinoE 08-28-2006 10:41 PM

in highschool, i drove around in a 1972 plymouth valiant. my friends' mom was busting his balls to get rid of his motorcycle in her garage. he did not know how to fix it & it just sat in her garage for months. all the bike needed was rear brakes. he had all the parts, just didn't know how to put it together. so to stop his mom from bellyaching - i helped him roll it out to the dumpster on the side of the road.

later that evening i drove my car up to the dumpster & tried to put the bike in the trunk. i couldn't do it. my friend was watching the whole time & finally offered to haul the bike to my house in his pickup truck.

i fixed it up that winter & it became my 1st bike the following spring. on my way to finals that summer, a jeep made an illegal u-turn i t-boned him. going over the hood of his jeep. lol, i was just wearing a t-shirt, jeans & a helmet. bike was totalled. someone bought it that fall and shipped it to haiti.
