Coming Soon, .........The AssBuster II

I am currently planning "The AssBuster II" so far, It looks to be another 400 mile ride, this time out through the mountains of NorthEastern PA. Looking to gauge what interest, if any, there is out there from you guys. I am looking at a Mid July-early August date. Depending who whats in and when they can go, I figure a date when the most participants can go, and then a rain date. Post up if interested.:ride:

AssBuster II update

Ass Buster II will be on Sunday, Aug 1st, 2010
rain Date Sunday, Aug 15th, 2010

Meet Spot: Belvidere Diner, Rt 46 Belvidere NJ
Time: 7am
Stands Up: 8am Sharp

This is an ALL DAY EVENT. Almost 400 miles, 10 hrs.

Ride "recommendations"....
1) check over your bike COMPLETELY.
2) make sure you have your essentials: wallet, license/registration/insurance card/ money
3) forward me an emergency contact: name home #, cell#, relation to you. I will make up an emergency contact list for the
people attending, just in case.

I will forward more info as it becomes available

Looks like both days work for me! woo hoo! I'll likely be there closer to the stands up time (with full tank of gas) as I am a good hour+ just to get to the meet spot, but i've been on your rides before and I don't ride like a jackass (does anybody ever admit to that, though?), so forgive me if I miss your pre-ride speech, k?

SPRHK 07-22-2010 10:32 AM

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&p...ere+NJ&spell=1

Just a little more info:
Pace: moderate to quick
we usually run speed limit +5-10. There will be some higher speed blasts, but we take into consideration all rider skill levels and never leave anyone behind. We also ask tthat you DO NOT ride over your skill level.

Tow vehicle: NONE. If you think you need one, bring your own
Have an emergency back up plan in place. Heavens forbid something happens, make sure you have a cell phone and someone to contact to pick you up in event of a break down or what not. I cant hold up the entire ride because you didnt check your bike over or take care of any maintennce issue beforehand. we will stop and make sure you are set, but after that, you are on your own.

This is a fun ride.Great commradery and lots of laughs.

Hope to see you out there!

sonny 07-23-2010 07:11 AM

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Weather is currently calluing for 50% chance of rain tomorrow and 60% chance tomorrow evening. In the % does not reduce, I will be postponing until the rain date, Aug 15th. I will make the call this evening. HOWEVER, if it is not raining in the morning, I will still be going for a ride with the same meet spot and time. Feel free to join up with me if so.

ffejtable 07-31-2010 10:13 AM

I really cant see clearly out of my left eye, so if this happens tomorrow I am out. :(

so should i travel 3 hours and 150 miles on a 50% chance of a ride? the rain doesnt bother me but i would hate to get there and be the only one that shows up :)

ASSBUSTER II UPDATE:

Due to the chance of rain tomorrow, I have decided to postpone the "ASSBUSTER II" ride until Aug. 15th. I am however, weather permitting, going to go riding in the AM. Same meet spot, same time. This way, anyone who did not get the update, will have someone there to let them know. If you feel up to it, meet me at the Belvidere Diner at 7AM and we can put on some miles......
Thanks

SPRHK 08-12-2010 08:30 AM

At this time, thing s are looking really good. Only a slight chance of a passing thunderstorm now. The game plan is, if it isnt raining in the AM, we are rolling........

Tomorrow is the big day............anyone gonna man up? No?

NICE!!:ride:

ffejtable 08-14-2010 06:42 PM

FYI, I am probably going to be breaking off at about 200 miles (Laporte, PA, if you are sticking with the original route).. I have a concert and need to be home at about 6. :)

SAXON117 08-16-2010 09:18 AM

****This ride has had a name change***** From ASS BUSTER to ASS RINSER. It poured like a mother the best part of the day! But rain or not it was a blast! Left my place at 5:50 am got home at 6:40 pm and put damn near the original planned mileage on the bike :) My gear will take a week to dry out but it was well worth it!

ffejtable 08-16-2010 01:15 PM

Thanks again for putting this ride together. Sucks about the rain, and sorry we bailed. This ride was just the start of a long day and I really didn't want to fight with the invevitable downpours that were going to happen if I continued. Heading back we had rain for only about 10 minutes and then light drizzle a little bit longer and eventually cleared up just before Easton (I think)... Except for my underwear and gloves, I was mostly dry by the time we got to new hope..
