Brian78 08-17-2005 10:02 AM

how does it feel that someone who bowls with 'gutter bumpers' can lap you?

IrocRob 08-17-2005 10:06 AM

I'm thinking about a two day event - Can you stay
at the track or does everyone go to a local hotel?

Holiday Inn is $99 a night...thats with the Beaver Run discount...Casey's does have good food for afterwards though...do an Expedia search for Cranberry, PA.

estyles 08-17-2005 05:46 PM

had such a good time im coming back for 2 days and possibly bringing some first timers too, should be another awesome weekend

IrocRob 08-18-2005 12:24 AM

Which course does TPM ride at BeaveRun?
North? South? Or do they use the whole track?
I know, I know, I should show up and find out for myself...

Cakes206 08-18-2005 12:25 AM

North.

ffejtable 08-19-2005 08:56 AM

I'll be there!!! I guess I will go sign up now actually.... :)

Rob, what happened to the RV rental idea? :)

EDIT: http://www.scottmotorcoach.com/rental.htm

IrocRob 08-19-2005 10:15 AM

I hadn't started looking at prices for a motorcoach
rental yet...but it's time to do that.
I'll check a local spot later today.
It'll be hard to beat $60.00 a night at the
local hotel though.

Just an FYI...the track might charge you to bring the camper and camp overnight...I know VIR charges for motorhomes...just something to think about.

Good point Joe - I checked and Beaver charges $10.00 per night.
The motorhomes I priced are about $1000.00 for the weekend,
so that's probably not the way to go. I checked
at two places, and the prices were about the same.

AfricanBootyScratcher 08-22-2005 06:21 PM

Beaver Valley all the way

IrocRob 08-22-2005 08:53 PM

Have fun, I was planning on attending this; however, I’ll be in the Dominican Republic that weekend. Oh, the Big Beav and only an hour or so from my house, double bonus.

Onedwn5up 08-26-2005 01:47 PM

I am coaching at Pocono that Friday and can hopefully coach as well at Beaverun. That will make for a great weekend. It'll sure give me a chance to burn up all my race take-offs thats for sure.

I camped about 20 miutes or so from the track last time. It wasn't the closest but it wasn't too bad either. I would just pitch a tent at the track. That is what I would do. Beats the hello out of driving any further (especially with current gas prices) and you can roll out of bed and go to the riders meeting.

If anyone is going to be at Pocono that Friday and then wants to combine bikes and gear then trek out to Beaverun let me know. Would help with the gas, thats for sure.

Lee 08-27-2005 12:50 PM

I need help again.
I'm going to do Beaver 24 25... Then I'm considering, SUMMIT Main on that monday !
How long you think the drive is from Beaver to Summit ?

Some on Mapquest it for me.

CBRBob 08-27-2005 05:46 PM

4.5 hrs :)

Lee 08-27-2005 07:35 PM

think its worth it ?

CBRBob 08-27-2005 08:43 PM

I'm doing it :)

IrocRob 08-31-2005 02:19 PM

Hanz & I are booked for both days...

pillaka 09-18-2005 11:02 PM

i am going sunday, definatly gonna break my 1:05

Onedwn5up 09-19-2005 07:23 PM

I am coaching Saturday at Beaver then Sunday at Shenandoah.

Anyone possibly looking to do Beaverun Saturday then Shenandoah Sunday? I am leaving from North Jersey Friday after work ( a bit earlier to try to get a jump on traffic) and it would be cool to have someone to carpool it with.

Might be a little late but worth a try.
