hey anyone here a "gamer" i just started playing the xbox again halo 2 and i am really starting to enjoy it anyone know if xbox 360 will play xbox games?

i'm pretty sure it will....just as the ps3 will play the ps2 and 1 games

Backward compatibility, an important feature in both the Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Revolution, is somewhat in question with the Xbox 360. Officials stated that it will be "backward compatible with top-selling Xbox games," leaving current Xbox users uncertain which games will be playable on the next-gen console.

It seems to me I heard (and this could be wrong) that the "lower end" Xbox 360 might not have total backward compatibility, but the more expensive one will. Again, this could be wrong, but I believe that's one of the things I heard mentioned on one of the reports about it.

seems like its the same console just more "extras" like a 20 gig hard drive and head set and shit like that.... i dont do xbox live stuff

Hmmmm...... And yet still nothing about backward compatibility? grrrrr........

Oh well... I know we'll be gettin' one regardless (I'm not big on the Xbox Live stuff either, but it IS fun......)

Microsoft pretty much said that they can't speak for some of the game developers. If they went about the right ways to develop the games, they shouldn't have a problem playing on xbox 360.

I would love to get x360, but I don't need it since I hardly use my xbox now even though I already paid the $50 bucks for xbox live for the year. Maybe I'll actually get into my halo 2 again since I still have much to learn!
