So I spoke with the owner of this little Irish pub and he is interested in hosting a bike night. I have some issues with this - it's in a residential area where homeowners may complain of noise, the parking lot is 2 levels and the popos are right around the corner. It seems like it would be a good hangout b/c it has tvs, a pool table, jukebox, tables to eat and of course a bar.....do I just tell people by word of mouth.

When football comes around it would be a good Monday Night Football hangout for sure....

Thanks

Not for nothing, at the risk of sounding like your parents, Bikes and Beers DO NOT MIX. I have been riding motorcycles my whole life. I cant count how many people I know who were killed on motorcycles after have one or two drinks at the local hangout. If it were me trying to organize a bike nite, I would look for someplace else. IMO.:nod2:

I think just about every bike night place there is, has alcohol. It is up to each person to be accountable for their own actions and responsibility.
I am assuming Monday Nights?
If it's a bike night, why not just say the name of the place....

I can understand where Sprhk is coming from and I have to agree with Billy. Many bikes night facilities have alcohol but you have to watch out for yourself at the end of the day. No different from daily riding....

Billy - it's not an official bike night so I do not want people to assume its on.

like i said over @gixxer...bikes, alcohol, cops, and a residential area...the chances of some drunk dumb ass jumping on his bike and pullin wheelies up and doing burnouts is something to seriously take to heart. no matter how well behaved most of us are, all it takes is one to put us all on the PDs hit list for every monday night. I make it a rule not to have too much fun around the boys in blue. As far as not meeting in places with liqs, to each their own. If someone is stupid enough to get on a bike twisted....there gonna do it regardless of if they're at a meet or at a buddies house.

Yeah I agree its a discretion thing. I mean even fuddruckers sells beer whats the difference there. People just need to be smart and not drink.

Crystal u can probably post it in here because its not like u are going to get 20 people that will show up. 2nd choice would be word of mouth o kinda feel things out.
