i know why they are squeeling.. i took off the anti squeel things on the back of the calipers... any how does that damage the pistons in any way shape or form? or are they just there so your breaks dont squeel?

Are you talking about the plate? I thought that plate is to keep the pads apart so you don't accidentally have both pads on one side of the rotor. :confused:

No, it's fine. It's more of a dust shield I think anyway. If you really hate the squeal, get some brake anti squeal goo and put some on the back of the pads.

If you are talking about the thin stainless steel "shims"
some manufacturers use between the brake pads and the
pistons, those "anti-squeal" things also act as a heat
sheild to help keep brake fluid temperature down.

yeah mine were off on the Honda and are gone on the aprilia also.
