This was not to long ago, maybe 2 weeks ago. Im in that building once a month and I never seen it like this, not in the 5+ years I go there to read the meter. I seen it crowded but this time when I went in there it was extremely bad.

Inside if you dropped a pen or something you werent picking it up, there was NO room to bend over to pick it up. People were standing shoulder to shoulder and it stunk in there.

The line comes through the curb and down the street. Made me sad to see this. This is in Elizabeth NJ

Until the banks, market speculators, and corporate CEO's start projecting stronger earnings this won't change it a bit, hopefully those projections this year will be higher than speculated , but until then companies will do anything possible to stop the hemorrhaging.

In recent months I've seen big players coming into my office for interviews on positions they are far too overqualified for, we should all be grateful we have our jobs to keep that income flowing...it's a very scary thing indeed.

which is why i cant understand how companies that take government handouts can payout billions in bonuses to executives. They should be thankful they have a job to go to at all, not looking for bonuses from a failing company

Agreed...but those selfish moneyhungry corporations are in it for themselves, they only play by the free market rules and are willing to take whatever they can get to stay afloat. It's also the government's fault for not placing strict regulations on how those donated funds would be used, I just hope the IRS has an audit party on their asses a few years down the line. Those bonuses were handed out as bribes to keep their top notch employees from going elsewhere, those are the ones who have all the experience and connections to bring in the big numbers every year, the corporations know that, to them that's their bread and butter, everyone else is expendable.

it seems that high level execs are all about padding their pockets while f'ing over the entire company.
