So I ordered a set of rains from MizeMotors, 120/180. Got a call back saying they're out of them(stickboy is out too.) They said and suggested running 165/120 on the 600's. Said they all ran em at Summit this w/e like that. Anyone hear of this?

Pretty sure your supposed to use a smaller profile out back when running rains. I used the same profile for my rains in order to not have to change the geometry setup of my bike when switching. Try TPM.... thats where I got mine:blahblah:

I will be running Bridgestone rains on my TZ250. Got them from TPM, but this year they won't order them for me. Stickboy has great prices, I ordered another set of 250 slicks from him yesterday.

Stickboy is cool, definitely great prices as well. He too confirmed a lot of the guys run the 165, he also said the B-Stone 165 rain was designed with the 5.5" rim in mind. Hes got em for $324 a set, think I'll give em a try.

Just sucks that TPM raised prices for tire mounting/balancing to $50. I will be looking into a tire changer and wheel balancing set soon. I used to order the Bridgesones through the Parts Club, but they only handle Pirelli now and Pirelli doesn't make a 250GP tire.

Is that with the wheels off the bike?

The smaller rear tire is the setup to run. Pirelli used to recommend the 160 rear on a 600. I've witnessed the 160's run with no problems.

180 rear is recomended for rains in a liter bike. Dunlop made a 190 rain rear for AMA superbikes, but I think they are being discontinued.

My pirelli's are a 180/55 but they are certainly much smaller than the SC pro's. I didn't do one thing to change geometry and they work well enough for my noob ass. My bike is seriously squated and its not in the suspension.

Very nice. Keep them out of the sunlight. Almost makes you want it to rain..LOL

They might be a bit of a pricey lucky charm, but well worth it...bring'em every track day, and it'll never rain.
