Had a chance to catch this and liked it overall. The handheld cam effect is a bit difficult to get used to during the first part of the film with all the movement, but it was necessary in adding a personal link to the action. I have to give props to J.J. Abrams and AMC for offering an awesome sound system and screen quality experience with the special effects, felt like I was in a virtual amusement ride during those action shots in the city. Only thing that distracted me harshly was the building collapse scene, it brought me back to the live footage of 9/11 with the dust/debris cloud rushing down the street while everyone was screaming and running for cover, but I don't think J.J. Abrams meant any disrespect in that fashion, and afterwards my attention was brought back to the film.

I saw the movie last weekend. I have to say I loved it! The hand held camera style made the move very realistic. Great job JJ!
