anyone know where to get cheap flights besids expedia and places like that. looking for a flight out to vegas in july/august some time.

I use kayak.com and then hit up the carrier sites.

Oh and every once in a while i hit a goop price on cheaptickets.com

i've used kayak.com before. i always double check the prices with the airline directly and if it's only a few bucks, i'll book directly with them.

the main reason for this is if i am late and miss the flight, the airline will be more accomodating with rescheduling the flight as opposed to if i booked through a discount site. i once missed a flight and delta rescheduled me to another airline (2hr wait) instead of waiting 8hrs for the next delta flight. the attendant said they wouldn't be able to do that if i bought the ticket through a discount site.

I have always found the carrier to be a decent amount cheaper then those discount sites.
