Up for sale is a 1999 Suzuki GS 500 Street bike in excellent condition 4558 Miles on it for $2000. The bike has been stored inside and was used sparingly over the lat several years. This bike belongs to a local police officer who I am helping sell the bike for. Pleae keep in mind that this bike retails for $5100 + tax from your local dealer and has been virtually unchanged since the bikes inception in the early 90's. Save more than half with this one! This bike would sell for at least $3,000 used at a local dealer!
This is an excellent around town bike or a starter bike for someone just looking to get into motorcycling. The mileage is low and it will provide lots of use for years to come.
The paint is flawless and the bike looks showroom quality. When I first went to look at the bike I was amazed at the excellent condition. But in the name of full disclosure I will say it does need only a few things to make it absolutely perfect It needs new handlebars as they are bent on the left side. The owner had the bike parked on the street and a little kid just decided to climb on the bike and ended up knocking it over on the left. This bent the left side handlebar a bit and put a couple of scratches on the bottom of the left side case cover (see pics). And the carbs just needs a good cleaning. It sat over the winter and carbs were not run dry so they are a bit gummed up. To have these items taken care of should only cost a couple hundred at best and I can assist pointing you in the right direction if not do the work for you myself, if I have the time available.
Asking Price is $2000 and I can deliver the bike. I will also accept paypal payments if you would like to use your credit card. I only ask that you cover the withdrawl fees of 3%. Title is clear and the bike is ready to go.
