...for showing thread on the rear tire of my Virago. So who knows anything about cruiser tires? I sure as shit don't. All I know is my size is 130 90 16. And I'm poor. And don't give a hoot how well it whisks water away. Dry grip grip grip grip. Any suggestions? Even any cruiser people on here?

I like the metzler ME880's. I have a new set on my Valk and they handle much better then the original dunlops.

I've never heard anyone getting a citation for that, how'd the situation go down?

BTW, check out Dunlop D205, I ran those for years, they're cheap and provide excellent mileage and grip.

+1 for the Metzeler ME880 Marathon's. Just put them on my Valkyrie as well and they're lots better than the OEM Dunlops I had on there.

Saxon - I have court for those two performance awards Wednesday night in Belvidere. Let's get a beer afterwards!

I was pulled over for not being inspected, and my Harley-riding officer friend cited me a $54 unsafe tire ticket as opposed to the $160 failure to inspect when he noticed thread showing on the rear of my beastly Virago. He, being the owner of Road King, must not have been impressed by my well-engineered, 25 year old, reasonably-priced and highly reliable Japanese V-Twin. Either way it was a cheap ticket and I suppose it could have been worse. Whatever.

As per the tire, I'm ordering a super budget D404 rear. They are around 60 bucks, haha. Yes, everyone, I am more than familiar with the theory of price/quality relativity, but facing all these tickets and insurance surcharges is majorly cramping my economic prospects. The good news, however, is that the GSXR should be roadworthy by the weekend, and I also ordered up a Power 2CT for her front end so she'll be stickin' like glue and not hemorrhaging oil.

Did I miss a recall? What's wrong with the French ones? Do they just surrender under the pressure?
