need mac help!!

I have a G4 that will not boot at all no power is getting to it at all. I know software really good but know very little when it comes to the hardware in these things. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

G4 what? That's only the processor, is it a laptop, tower...what model? No power could mean a few things but I need to know what the machine is first.

LOL...serious note though, whatever its plugged into is good right? Like the outlet isn't tripped or anything? Easy to get wrapped up in the big picture and forget about the little things.

maybe there is too much dust in it and it instantly overheats and shuts off. i had that problem once

Does it have an "ozone" smell of fried electronics?

My guesses are
1. Bad power cord (not very likely, but is it a regular cord or does it have a power brick?)
2. Blown power supply (most likely)
3. Fried motherboard (possible, kind of likely, and a bitch)

I'm thinking power supply too.
I always start with the basics Joe, sometimes it saves a lot of time but I know most people forget about the little things and rack there brains trying to fix everything. Thanks for the help
