firefox browser weather extension

a lot of cats use the firefox browser instead of internet explorer.

i stumbled on the browsers' weather extension while setting up ubuntu on my laptop

as you can see, i've set up weather for home, work and the various racetracks for trackdays :P

Umm i really only use the forecastfox. But what do those other extensions do?

DOM Inspector is a Document Object Model inspector http://www.mozilla.org/projects/inspector/

Fasterfox is meant to speed up firefox load times https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1269/

Firebug let's you control browser size, see CSS & scripts. It's basically a developer tool that allows you to deconstruct a web page https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1843/

GBS syncs your favorites/cookies/etc as well as your open tabs to anywhere you have it installed. http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/browsersync/

IE Tab lets you create tabs in FF that are actually IE windows https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/

NoScript lets you block JavaScript at whichever site you want, or, more specifically, allows you to control which sites are permitted to run scripts. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/722/

TalkBack lets you submit bugs to mozilla

The largest reason I'm still using firefox. You can block elements from loading, such as flash ads, images, javascript, etc. Basically if you visit a website that has something annoying on it, like adsense or something, and you can block http://ads.* (or however specific / generic you want) and any site that has an element matching that, it will block. It's interface is pretty easy to use as well. If you need any help with it, let me know. I can record a screencast on the basics of how to use it, which is really all you'll need.
