Bo & Luke

African Grey's, I finally got to hold them after 8 weeks. I get to take them home hopefully next week. their perching pretty good. but felt good to hold them for about a hour after 2 months.

Bo took a nice shit on my wifes lap.
and yes, she bought a lottery ticket right after we left lol

What's the point in owning a bird? Are they fun? I just never found them appealing. My roommate had one in college and all it did was scream, shit, and kick stuff out of its cage. Not my idea of a good time.

actually it takes a lot of dedication to owning one. honestly you can just buy one and hold it once a week. when i had Sonny which by the way dide last year, i held her everyday for as long as she would let me. i adopted her though. but i have a grand old time with them. almost like my partner in crime if you will lol. basically these are my 1st two birds from birth and their like raising children, teaching them to talk, sing, whistle, and some games.

its definately a challange and dedication. but you need to have those 2 to own one.

Birds are awesome. I had a parakeet for 14 years, died last year. I grew very close to that little 8 ounce fucker. He was a good friend and was quite intelligent. You can play with them for hours at a time.
When I was in middle school, he would start chirping and flapping around when he heard my bus coming up the block, 'cause he knew I was about to come home and take him out of his cage and play with him for awhile. Give him treats and stuff. Loved lettuce.

Good luck with the Greys!! I've always wanted another bird but unfortunatly couldn't dedicate myself right now.

My neighbor had an African Grey and some other one... Funny as shit. They would talk to each other. The Grey would say "here kitty kitty" and do the "catcall" whistle whenever ladies would come over to his house. But only to ladies with long hair. I'd never have one those fookers are mean!
