I posted this in the parts for sale section but thought it would also be good to post this here as well since most guys that would be needing a paintjob would be us track junkies.



I am posting this for my buddy Ray who is a full time bodyshop painter who I am helping to paint bikes.

He is offering excellent prices for paint jobs for your track bike!
He has 18 years of expierence, works at a bodyshop and is the lead painter in his shop.

That's funny Dave. Thats what I did to my freshly painted bike at Daytona back in 04

Yeah Ralph I don't bother using the house of color paint for the TPM red, it is to damn expensive. Instead I use Flourescent red vinyl, I have been using it for the past 5 1/2 years now. No problem from TPM, it is the exact same color and does not fade like the House of color paint.

Ok I just got back from vacation. Here are some pics I took today.

I just talked to Ray. He is a really nice guy. He does body for an extra charge. I'm gonna take the rest of my bike apart this weekend and try to hook up with him Sat or Sun to drop it off. He seems to really know his stuff!!

I can't thank DeFran and Ray enough. I feel you get more than enough for the price. Even the scuffed whole in my lower fairing was repaired and looks great! Is it show ready, no. Is it track ready, hell yes! If you need a trust worthy painter that is honest and charges a more than resonable price you'll have a hard time finding this from anyone else. I didn't meet DeFran but Ray is a nice guy. Cheers!

I'm impressed, they are a set of New Factory bodywork. In my opinion they felt very similar to Sharkskinz and only cost $400 They will definately be the next set that I will be buying for myself.:up:

For people interested in the Factory Bodywork here's the website www.factorybodyworks.com
There's no prices posted but a friend just ordered a set and it was $385 for the set (06 gsxr 600) and $50 shipping from coast to coast.
Great deal for a very good set of bodywork in my opinion.

BTW I have no idea who the owner is of Factory bodywork, I am just throwing it out there so people know where to get a good deal on a set of bodywork.
I see a great deal of different brands that pass through my hands and these are definately up there with Sharkskinz.
Although I have no idea of how crash worthy they are.

Just got done doing a Suzuki Telefonica replica street bike.
I have some before pics of the damaged bodywork.
In the end all the decals were removed on all the bodywork, bodywork was repaired and sanded then painted then I added all the new decals and they were all cleared over.

Just a small portion of the belly and air damn covers etc...
maybe a total of 8/10 small pieces.
Do you think he will charge the price of painting an entire fairing set as listed?

Parts are not damaged, in fact they are mint, just looking to get rid of the red and go to blue. I was going to attempt doing it myself but would rather an experienced painter do it, besides, your fairings do look really good.

Finished up a Street 2005 CBR 1000.
Its a HM Honda Britsh Superbike replica.
All bodyparts were repaired, sanded, painted then the decals were added and cleared over.

I am definately jealous of this bike and wish it was mine, it really looks sharp and looks better in person!!

I mounted a set of Factory BW on my 07 R6 today for a customer. I would give the fit a 9 out of 10. The only thing that I had to trim was the undertail which only took 5 min to trim with the dremel.

They came out really nice! I tried waiting for the sun to get some nice shots to show the metallic black cherry and pearl white but it was cloudy all day.

We do not paint the #'s on but we can supply them, just tell us what size and #'s you will need.
As for decals I would suggest you supply them that way you get exactly what you want and we can clear over them if you wish.

The clutch side ear was missing on the upper. We made one and repaired it.
The tail was broken in half right at the center of the #plate and was in two pieces.
