Anyone care to assist me with my DMV road rest (auto drivers license)? A friend of mine that was letting me use his car is out of town..
The test is at 09:30am in "Lodi".. I will be in Hoboken.. So I will need to be scooped up. I'd be glad to fill teh tank of whoevers car up..
DMV Requirements are insurance, valid registration, inspection.. etc.
I'd prefer a automatic but I can drive a stickshift.
Edit:
I can even meet you @ the DMV.. I forgot.. I can just ride my bike!

I would if I was closer to you. It will take me over an hour to get to that area. Maybe you can rent a car for the test.

Yep, thought about a rental.. DMV doesnt allow rental cars for the test. I dont know why either.

As long as it has an e-brake in the middle console, why would they care if it was a rental or not?

Maybe just because with rentals, it gets tricky with who can drive it or not. If I rent, other people can't drive, or whatever. I don't know, but that's my theory. No nice neighbors that would help you out?
Good luck with it.

Just came to mind... rental cars are out, but most driving schools will provide the service. Give them a call and see if anyone can do last minute. They will pick you up and give you a student car to use. Not sure on price though.

Because you have to already be licensed to operate rental cars.
