IrocRob mentioned that March 15th Pocono date is missing (or is it April 15th?).. He updated it, but used Excel 2007, which I dont have, and I dont think most of you do either, so I didnt put it up, but thought I would let you know he spotted one omission.

I plan to check it myself when I get a chance, and also put it in a regular spreadsheet format (rather than making it look like an actual calendar).. The file I will make will allow you to do a File-->Import/Export and dump everything right into your Outlook calendar. I hope to get that done by tonight... It might have been what Lateapex did but the comp I am on at the moment doesnt have Excel so I cant see what he did....

I like the import into Outlook calander, that would be handy. I don't think mine will do that because the fields don't have actual dates in them.

Link for Outlook import file.

http://www.deniedaccess.net/TPM2007.csv

This file contains data so you can import the TPM schedule right into your Outlook calendar.

In general the process for doing this (for outlook 2003) is:

Open your Outlook Calendar
Click on File
Click on Import and Export
Chose Import from another program or file then Next
Chose Comma Seperated Values (Windows) and then Next
Enter the filename/location of whereever you saved the file above and click Next
Select the Calendar that you want to import the information into (most of you will probably only have one, named "Calendar" Click Next
The next box is so you can map what columns go into what calendar fields. the .CSV file is in a format so the import wizard should know what to do with it automatically, just click Finish.

Directions for other versions of Outlook might vary by a little bit.

If you want you can create a new calendar that has just your TPM dates in it. I did this first just to make sure I didnt blow up my Primary calendar. To create a new calendar in Outlook 2003 just Click file, New, Folder.. Give the calendar a name and make sure "Folder Contains" says Calendar Items. You can put the calendar as a sub folder of your main calendar or a subfolder of your "Mailbox" (recommended).

Patriot is fun little tight and twisty, only one short straight. Summit JC is small compared to the more open main circuit but a nice little track and the Shenandoha is tight and twisty. Any track is fun.

BTW in your avatar I'm the second bike behind you.

Pocono is great to start out and its close for a lot of TPM members but once you done other tracks like VIR, Beaver and Summit, you realize what real race track are.

Calabogie, Tremblant and Mosport are great tracks, but Shannoville is like Pocono east.

ffejtable
12-07-2006, 03:06 PM
Shannonville is worse than Pocono East because its 8 hours instead of less than 2. It really isnt worth a trip under any circumstances unless they repave the entire thing completely. By far the worse surface of any track ive been do. No elevation changes, either, but I can live without those.

Patriot is a fun small course, and a heck of a workout since you will be hanging off the bike the whole time. I personally dont think its worth its own trip, so if they are doing a 2day patriot weekend, I would pass, but later in the year (November) they do have a Patriot/North Sun/Mon deal thats worth it. Its a shame they didnt do that this year with the November North date.

I've only done Summit Main and I hated it, mostly because its not a fun track to be off the race line on, and Art Basic was holding up white group really bad all day, and in general it sucked (for me)... But I do want to give it another try... Hopefully with a JC or Shenandoah the day before.

Mike.... I've been avoiding your Mac questions cause a) I dont have a mac to test with and b) Macs suck.. but seriously...

If you are using Microsoft Office for the Mac, the procedure to import it into Outlook should be similar.... Maybe somebody else with a Mac and computer knowledge can give it a try? Cucullin might have a Mac, but probably not Outlook running. :)
