21 October northern NJ and NY ride

Hi there,

It seems Saturday will be nice..

The route: 80 west, 15, berkshire valley, union valley, macopin rd, w brook rd, stonetown rd, greenwood tpke, sloatsburg rd, sterling mine, 17 north, seven lakes, 9W North, West Point, 218

Pace: 10-15 above the limit. No crazy ****, flying between cars and illegal passing. As long as it's safe I increase speed considerably within blanks between clusters of cars. Stops every 1,5 hour or so. Depending on the company that joins me we can adjust the pace for everybody's comfort.

Once there are interested riders we'll set en exact meet place and time. But I would like to leave around 9-10.

I'm trying to head up to the open house at 15 powersports, they are having a burnout contest Sat but no one seems interested.

Hey RAC, I will be passing along 15 anyways, so we could hit it on the way. But I'd rather not spend more than an hour over there. Events like that with free food are nice, but I'm really anxious to put on some mileage tomorrow. Worst case we'll split over there if you wish to hang for a decent while.
We could meet up on 23, hit 287 (which I love!) and then 80..?

You actually like 287???? I hate the grooved road. Sounds good to me though. I want to see the burn out comp, I not much on going places just to get free food. I'm leaving work in a few and have to go to my other job. Post up and I'll check back in tonight aroud midnight when I get home.

I will be taking an EARLY morning run, say 0530 -> sunrise.

I'll probably shoot up river road, and 9W into NY. Then probably over the tappan zee bridge back down onto 9A or FDR.. then finally back into brooklyn. or maybe i'll just keep on trucking on 9W.

If interested drop me your #, it's gonna be a little cold.. but there will be little or no traffic.

I never went. Even though I wake up @ 0510 every day.. 0530 is too early on a Saturday. I just couldnt convince myself to get up that early and go load clothes on to ride..

It's a bit chilly, dont call me a sissy, although I do ride all year.. I just couldnt do it!!

Yup me too. Smoking tires, cops.. Now that's fun! ;) It seems coming up weekend will be nice and sunny... I'll post a fresh ride soon, just have to find out if my weekend is open. I'm OK with the last route we did, we could go further up north along 9W..
