Work of art of functional little bit? Picked up a nice little custom clutch cover for the TLR. It's a billet cover with the option to have a clear window (like on my TLS) or a solid window with a slider. Since this is on the track bike the clear window came off and the solid window was installed.

What's in the box...
Cover with clear window (I like to keep my options open) and the solid cover. Smaller screws for the solid cover as well as a new plug and crush washer.

The slider is a nice size!

Beat up old plastic cover...

Installed.

In the next day or two I'll be putting the TLR back together for a day at the track on the 25th (if all goes well).

How much weight did that save ya?

Nothing, they tend to be heavier, just offer more protection, though I hope the 2pc ones do too.

Yep, one of the few items in which I didn't mind adding some weight to the TLR. The original idea was for a solid 1-piece cover but things changed during the manufacturing and it wasn’t able to be done that way.

Still the ability to get a non-plastic replacement cover for a TL is nice since Graves and Yoshimura do not make theirs anymore.

They make them for the SV 1000?! Where can I find one?!

I have no idea about the SV1k's units; the SV's clutch cover is integrated in to the case cover. It would be a real PIA to produce.

Yeah I know I was talking with I guy that had the clear cover on his TLR and I had my SV1K next to it and noticed that the side covers are different. That's why I was asking:nod2:

They actually make a kit....which is used after having your stock cover machined to accept it. Some guys on the SV1K European board have them on their bike. I bought a spare cover off Ebay for $9 to get this mod done.

post up some pics when you get it done, I am very interested, do you know where to get the kit?

Got the fairings back on last night. Between the frame slider, solid peg and slider on the cover the right side is fairly well protected should I drop it coming out of my trailer again.

I was a little worried at first that the slider would interfere with the fairings but it all fits perfectly.

Come on Monday!!!
