Talk about a race, wow...last 3 laps were awesome, see Rossi's foot off the peg while braking for that last left hander...sick!

Poor Nicky... It's slipping away oh so slowly...
I really want him to win too.
I'm starting to believe the conspiracy theory that Honda doesnt want him to win...

It was fun watching those two dice it up front but don't forget that the Kentucky Kid's still the points leader.

You know its all fixed...every sport is...and its even worse in Europe...its all about the $$$...they gave him a taste, he'll win the championship after Rossi is gone...

Why do they take the foot off of their peg

Why do they take the foot off of their peg
just a guess, but since a lot of those guys run gp shift pattern, they put their foot above the pegs to get ready for upshifts coming out of the corner.

I don't know, Rossi's foot was up off the peg almost a good foot. I'm guessing its a result of the heavy heavy braking...might help with the momentum.

The first one I saw do that was Schwantz back in the day and I remember him saying when asked why he does that is to repositioning his foot to downshift. I believe Rossi does the same but in yesterdays race I think he was at the edge of traction and might have lost balance or was bracing for some contact.

Thats what I figured, I see them take the foot of of their peg and it reminds me of MOTOX. I also see them do it as well sometimes with their left foot to reposition for shifts. Im running GP and have yet to find the need to take my foot completely off to reposition it for a downshift or upshift.

its crazy that they are moving so fast and just pick up their feet like that. Those guys must have brass balls!

+1 I'd agree with ya there!

Totally crazy race, especially between Rossi and Capriossi :wow: I was on the edge of my seat, sometimes off and sometimes screaming during the last 4 laps.

I hope Rossi wins in Australia :nod2:

And 99% of America couldn't give a sh!t. Even the announcers were saying that they were doing more passing in one lap than the entire field does in an F 1 race. It really is amazing. I'll be telling stories about this sh!t to my two little boys someday.

It's just Rossi's unique way of regaining his balance with the bike, I'm sure if any of us ran that hot into a turn like that we might be inclined to do the same thing without even thinking about it.
