Nice dent.:banghead:

After my last close call, I bought a 4X8 trailer that is much closer to the ground.

Sorry 'bout the tank though.

I've ridden my bike up a ramp into a truck about 20 times without any problems. As soon as I'm some place with people around...I don't make it. That was my "doh" moment.

many years ago i saw a sticker on an old vw beetle, it was covering up the rust spots - it looked like a big band-aid.

i'm not going to fix the tank, just touch-up the paint so it won't rust. i'd like to find that band-aid sticker for the dent...

(...or maybe those idiotic looking 'bullet hole' stickers...)

And its a green Suzuki... whats up with that!

Sucks, but my guess is this is your trackbike.... they dont look pretty for very long for most people... :(

I did something similar last year as well... got it off the truck onto the sidewalk, and when i was rolling it off the sidewalk onto the street (off a curb) the handlebars werent straight so as soon as the front wheel went down, it turned and layed it down in slow motion on th one side... it was so slow that I actully had time to jump over the bike and have it mostly land on me instead of the street.... damage was minimal but 2 of my neighbors saw it. :)

That sux...sorry to hear Ginoe :( The tank covers I've seen I don't think go up that far? but don't quote me though...I'd touch it up, probably not worth buyin' another tank.

Same here.

Picture this, Sunday morning the bike has to be loaded and delivered to the trailer for our Wednesday departure to Barber for the weekends races. It's Friday night about midnight. Both wheels are off, back is on a rear stand and the front is on jack stands with a floor jack under the exhaust. (I've done this a 1000 times) I lift the bike with the floor jack and move the jack stands to the sides and put the front wheel on. As I snug the axle the bike falls over. I hear the slow crunching of bodywork then a snap of bodywork. The bike landed in a jackstand that has now punched a hole in the bodywork, where I don't know. Now I have to get the bike back up, remember the rear tire is still off. I get the bike upright, balancing on the exhaust. My wife comes down to help. I get the floor jack and left the rear up to get the rear stand under it. It falls off the floor jack once but the second time I get it. The damage is a whole the side of my fist in the upper, where on stock bodywork is where the headlight would be. Needless to say my saturday was busy with body filler, sanding, paint and new numbers. It's not perfect but it's good enough to race with.

Also I have a real front stand now.
