WCW Suspension Day Ride 8/6

I know a few of you might be interested in getting your suspensions tuned so I spoke with Ron from Washington Cycle Works today to set it up. Ron has 7 spots available for us, so get in quick. Since there are limited spaces available, I ask that people who can definitely make it, sign up. If you are signed up and cannot go for any reason, please PM me so I can remove you from the list and give it to someone else...every ones cooperation in that matter is greatly appreciated. The ride itself is not limited...everyone is welcome to join in the ride...we can use this ride as the official SBA Inaugural Ride.

Ok, now where do I begin.

Met up with Kon (Soda) in SI to start the morning off. We were accosted by some old timer who demanded he use my tire gauge. That guy had 15 PSI in his car tire. :crazy:

We run down 287 to Nick's (NJF4i) meet point, where we passed an 18-wheeler just as he RIPPED A STOPLIGHT POLE out of the ground. :wow: Met with Dom (DomR6), Nick, and Chris (Xstortion).

After a good blat (I love that term) down some highway (don't remember the name/number) we got to WCW and met with the rest of the gang. Too many names to mention, but it was a pleasure meeting all the folks I haven't met before, and good to see all of those I've met. Joe (Ripp) has got one of the hottest trucks I've ever seen. Sick ride, bro. Jen (Qetesh), glad to see you got your ride back. I'll stand up and show you my goods anytime I'm in out front of ya. (Sorry Cakes! :P)

We lined up to get our suspensions done. The guys at WCW are some of the most knowledgable and friendly folks I've ever met at a motorcycle shop. My SV rides like it's on rails now, I can't even begin to explain the difference in the stock setup and the configuration it's in now. Absolutely amazing.

We made the, um, interesting ride to New Hope after the suspensions were done. Everything was normal on the ride, up until we hit that police roadblock. Then all of our sportbikes transformed into dual-sport machines as we were detoured onto a gravel trail through the woods. Could barely see in front of us with all the dust, while traveling around 15mph on a two-way tight trail with these MASSIVE boulders sticking out of the ground.

When we got to New Hope, we had another interesting time parking, but ate lunch and had a few laughs at Kon's expense. ("You look... different in the light.") :LOL:

We broke up after eating, and had a great ride home through a great route. I had a blast folks -- can't wait to do it again.

Had a blast on the ride... This was my first Ride of this season.. (well atleast on my own bike)

Well my bik eis all fucked up..LOL so atleasti got the suspenion done. i havenoclue what the guy before me was doing but they at wcw said thatit was all fuged up. well now that my suspension is tuned i got good news my front roters are Warped to shit! ohyeah an di cant stop that stupid oil leak. :lol:

The ride to new hope was OK...after i while i just gave up on kicking my feet at althe shit onthe road.. way to much... and that dirt roadmade my day..
once we got ot new hope traffic galore and no parking. no ofense to anyone but i still see nothign special about new hope... lets see i can get dirty tap water in brooklyn, the 6 frenshfries..WTF was that.
NOw the ride back was cool as shit Xanoz (switchback witha five or somethign ) thos were some nice roads and you kept the pace up which is a plus....

Well I guess the first official ride for SBA will go down in the books. We had some nice little curves, some of the shitty road conditions i've ever been on, oh and a gravel/dirt road detour. Who ever nominated me to lead this ride is a dumbass. :lol:

But anyway it was great hanging with the crew again. I did have fun most of the time there. I just have to keep my girl away from kon because "he looks really really good in the daylight" :rant:

But hey the day wasn't a waste. DougZ and i actually got along for the whole day, chris xstortion got caught checking out my girl, vinny was busted staring at my sisters chest, and i got to see cakes out on an actual ride.

As for the ride home :evil2: That is what i'm talking about. Xenos and i have been trying to put a route together with all of those roads and it finally payed off. Vinny, soda, and xenos were killing it out there. (Except for the one round valley turn cough cough Vinny) I'll ride with oyu guys any day.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I hate being behind cars that are going super slow, whether I'm in my car or on the bike.....the bike is nice though cause it is so much easier to just go by them. You didn't seem to have any problems getting that R1 to keep up with me though. :)
