View Full Version : NYS Rte. 301
A former rider from my office told me about Rte 301 off the Taconic State Pkwy.
Anyone know about this ride? From the map it doesn't look incredibly impressive.

It's actually a good road with elevation changes, technical turns, and good scenery (if you're into that). I've rode it a couple of times (never led) and have always come away with a good experience.
I hear that there are many cops on the road now, so if you're acting foolish, it's likely they'll bang you.
Nice, thx Vin.
Any suggestions for other routes in the NY/CT?

301 used to be pretty good but it's only about 10 miles. There were a lot of accidents and the latest was 2 harley riders that crashed head on. That's why there's a very high police presence there now.
9W going north past West Point and then to 44/55 to New Paltz is a great ride.
