on the bicycle. I rode 20.5 miles yesterday averaging 16mph including all stop signs and bullshit like that. Fastest time ever. And very few flat sections which makes me even happier. Imma kick some ass on that charity ride. :lol:

That's a good average, you on a road or mt bike? What make & model?

I found that monitoring and trying to maintain a base speed up hill also increased my overall average speed along with stamina, and of course top speeds on the downhills can't hurt either.

Charity rides are funny, somehow there's always a small group that turn it into a race. :lol: What's the charity?

Road Bike, Trek 1200. The charity ride is for Diabetes. Personally, I've found keeping a good speed on the flats or false flats picks up the avg. speed. On a true flat I can hammer between 20 mph and 25 mph. Coast on the downhills and just spin on the uphill and make it up.
