The BLUE KNIGHTS® NJ IX presents the 19th Annual Gooch's Garlic Run!


Date: June 21, 2006.

Location: Rockaway Townsquare Mall, 301 Mt. Hope Ave, Rockaway, NJ 07866.

Registration: Starts at 4:00pm and is $20.00 per rider. All proceeds are donated to the Children's Fund For Cancer Research. Pre-Registration forms for $15.00 per rider are also available: CLICK HERE (http://www.bknjix.org/ggr06%20pre-reg.pdf).

Stands-up: Approximately 7:00pm.

Ride: This is a police escorted run from the Rockaway Townsquare Mall to Little Italy-NYC.

Gooch's Garlic Run Pre-meet

(not making a new post for this since there doesn't seem to be much interest!)

Where: Rockaway Townsquare Mall ~ The Parking lot behind Olive Garden, where Dunkin Donuts, Cold Stone, and Verizon is located.


How to get there:

then from Rt. 80:

{from east}Exit 35A Dover ~ if traveling west bound on Rt. 80
{from west} Exit 35 ~ if traveling east bound on Rt. 80

As soon as you get off Rt. 80 (bare right) you will see the Olive Garden on your right. Enter the mall in that first entrance (on right) and turn right into first parking lot, and you will be at the meet spot. Not sure if there will be other bikes in that parking lot so look out for a lil green 250...lol.

Times: Pre-meet ~ 3:00-3:30pm Stands up to get in line at 3:35pm.

Registration starts at 4:30pm and there will be ALOT of bikes.

Stands up for the Garlic Run at 6:30pm.

Note: If we go in as a group we will be able to ride as a group. If you show up late you are not allowed to cut the line. Front of the Run = Faster pace and getting to the city earlier. Weather is looking great by the way...clear sky. Check this post before heading out Wednesday incase of any changes.

Well I attempted going here, but made it to Lafayette & Canal and got sick from the heat, so I was hanging there for about 1/2 hour until my headache went away and I cooled down. Mark needs to post the pictures because he made it in.

Was great seeing everyone for dinner, what a turnout! About 5,000 bikes were registered and who knows how many rolled in that weren't with the ride...hopefully I'll be RIDING in next year!
