Modified the airbox for a tad bit more volume...

Custom fabricated air tubes...

I threw the old tail on to give the appearance of almost being a bike again. It won't be a part of the finished product though.

The 2-1 from the TLS is now on the TLR

My replacement clutch master came in. It's a 5/8" M/C verses the 14mm that was stock on the TLR. I'm hoping it will offset some of the 'feel' problems that were inherent of the stock clutch operation. The clear tube is my own squidlyness showing through (again).

i remember running my tlr at the track w/ no airtubes...definately a noticeable loss at highspeed. your tubes look like a more direct path to the airbox, nice job. hows the tls pipe mating up?

The 2-1 wasn't actually ever intended for a TLS. I matched the TLS front section of Yosh header to it. It was originally derived from a Yosh TLR rear section. Since I picked a new Full Yosh TLR system I put those pipes on the TLS (again using the TLS front section) and used the new TLR front pipe to match to the 2-1 on the TLR... Confused?

When I got the TLR it had no lid/tubes and I don't believe running with the lid off is beneficial for track use where speeds are higher and pressurization comes into play more so than on the street.

No, it has a real world effect for the mere mortal...

First pic is that of the TLR airbox pressure at speed. The big barrels play havoc with keeping it pressurized hence the nasty graph. But at the end of the day its 12mb of positive pressure verses a measured -19mb of vacuum without the ram air effect.

Second pic is a rough dyno chart of simulated ram air verses vacuum (again, using a TLR).
