Why would you want to?
There is no reason to unless all the fluid has leaked out and it is not a danger to you. If it isn't broken, keep it.

plannign on learning to wheelie and everyone says that it shuts off if you pick it up high enough..

Don't know how the 04's are but 01-03 you could open them and fill em with silicon...or put zip ties on both sides of the collar.

Under the seat, up behind the batt.
