I think the #'s on the dyno chart for the full system will change your mind.

im ron 2.0 the "updated" version. :D as for the bike itself im somewhat disappointed at the moment because it was orginally speced at 17.5k rpm and even in the videos yamaha it showed the riders hitting that mark, but on dynos and yamaha's website its saying "max power" at 14.5. 3k short of what they intenionally advertised. but then again my bike maxs out at 13.5 and my redline is suppose to be 15

The specs for redline are correct, but the peak power never happens at redline. It always happens a few K's down the tach to enable the rider to overrev the motor while downshifting from high speeds to prevent the bike from losing it's peak power in the next gear.

yea i know what youre sayin but before that was found to be the truth, the "industry" was saying it was producing max power @ 17.5

No, first things I had read said peak hp at ~15k. I remember bringing up a topic on the 2.5k over rev and its necessity on another site when the numbers were being thrown around.

I've yet to see a motor redline at its peak HP.... I mean, they could, they could put the damn redline anywhere they want, but I suspect putting it too high is going to shorten your engine lifespan, considerably... You wouldnt want your bike to redline at peak HP anyway... to keep the engine in the "sweet" spot/powerband, you are inevitably going to have to go over and under the peak HP as you shift... Putting the redline at peak HP is going to cause you to drop too many RPMs when you shift, and therefore in a place with fewer HP...
