Number plate measurements

Hi everyone,
New member - I've got a quick question. I've got an 2001 R6 with aftermorket track in body work. Does anyone know the measurements I should use in order to have some yellow or white number plate decals made? The measurements would be for the tail and front sections. Thanks :nod2:

Look at the size that is required by whatever race organization you will be competing in. CCS, WERA etc. If you are just going to do track days, you don't need numbers or number plates. If you still want them, be creative.

Thanks, I got the idea. Anyway, I'll be with Team Promotion in 2006 and I just want it so I'll take your advice and be creative, but not too creative.

Just mask out the areas with thin masking tape, get some vinyl and cut out the sections. Can clean up the edges with some pinstriping. Slap on whatever #'s you want and you're all set. NESBA will assign you a # though.

Measure the size of the area and remember you shouyld have about 3/4 in gap between the numbers and the border. Any local sign shop should be able to make them for you.

Get a roll of black (or any color or pattern) contact paper from a craft store for about $3 and you can make 100's of letters and numbers.

Also Yellow contact paper can be used for the number plates too.
