Seems my held Akira's have finally started to fall apart.. I'm bummed out that they dont make them any more and am looking for my next pair.

Im kinda thinking the phantoms as their replacement I also saw the akira evos but have not personally tried them on.. The Titan seems a little pricey and at this point I am open to maybe the heroic lines..

Any feedback is appreciated. Ian.. didnt you have the heroic?

I have used the heroic and they were probably the most comfortable and efficient gloves I've owned. They can be a bit pricey though in the held range. Right now I'm using gloves from Cortech. They are freaking awesome I can show you the link of the gloves I'm using. I did a lot of homework on them and I'm not disappointed in my purchase. These Cortech gloves are probably the best bang for my buck.

I went from the Akira's to the Phantoms. I'm on my third pair of phantoms. Love them!!! I get a solid two seasons out of them but keep in mind the amount of riding I've done over the last ten years. 30+ events a year riding double sessions. I usually replace them because they start to get stiff and brittle. None have ever fallen apart.

Thanks for the feedback.. Im sorta leaning towards the phantoms. Ive been through 3 pairs of the akira in the last 6 years or so.. so if the fit is similar they sound like a win.

It was time Ralph.. I also picked up a pair of AGVsport gloves for daily riding.. Hopefully they will increase the life of the held's as well
